Bt Corn Research Published in
Scientific Journal
The long-term performances of
transgenic Bt corn hybrids at the SE Research Farm
near Beresford have just been published in the Journal of Economic Entomology.
If you
were interested in downloading a copy of the manuscript, kindly visit the address below.
Be forewarned that since this is a scientific publication, all the units are in metric system
(e.g.,
quintal per hectare instead of the familiar bushels per acre).
It is nice to get published in a prestigious peer-reviewed scientific journal from time to time.
I am currently
working on my next publication which will be on the long-term performances
of Bt hybrids exposed to the univoltine ecotype corn
borers.

Performances
of Insecticides Against
Corn Rootworm and White Grub Larvae
Due to popular request from numerous folks during
the winter meetings, I am posting
the results of insecticide performance data from last season (2001). Below
are the
rootworm and white grub insecticide data. Dr.
Billy Fuller, Professor at SDSU,
provided the data. The graphs were made by myself based on Dr. Fuller's
data.

to interpret the 1-6 root ratings.

Regent 4SC Takes On Bt Corn
Does Regent 4SC control corn borers? This
was the question we tried to answer
last season (2001) when we tested Regent 4SC (applied at planting) side by side
with a Bt corn hybrid. The results below are interesting especially the
yield data.

More detailed discussions can be found in the 2001 annual progress reports
of the NE and SE research stations. You may obtain copies directly from the
research stations. The PDF graphs above are better for printing while the
GIF
graphs are better for viewing on the computer.
