activities include investigating the performance of biotechnology-enhanced corn
to control the European corn borer, economic thresholds of grasshoppers on soybeans,
the impact of alfalfa weevils and potato leafhoppers on alfalfa quality, biology
of the sunflower midge, and the efficacy of insecticides in controlling insects
of various crops.
He is thesis advisor to one graduate
student and a member in the graduate committees of four other graduate students.
He is also a member of various state committees on biological control, grasshopper
