Dr. Gelderman directs the activities of the SDSU Soil Testing Laboratory at SDSU. The project involves correlation, calibration, and interpretation of soil and plant tests. The project develops sampling and analytical methods for South Dakota soils and crops. Development of correlation data for soil and plant tests is a project objective. Development of nutrient recommendations for various crops grown in the state is also a priority. Dr. Gelderman teaches a graduate laboratory class entitled "Soil and Plant Analysis". He also coordinates the department internship program.
