Plant Science Arctic Journey: AS482/582

Credit Arctic-An all inclusive road and train trip to Hudson Bay, Canada, taken at the end of August.  The trip focuses on climate change and First Nation perspectives.  The 1600 mile round trip includes stays at US and Canadian Provincial and National Parks, extensive outdoor interpretive work and research, wildlife viewing and discussions with tribal leaders.  From polar bears and beluga whales to overnight train rides and camping in the wild of Riding Mountain National Park, the trip offers a spectacular opportunity to see the direct effects of climate change, learn how tribal nations are dealing with environmental issues and interact with government researchers on a host of topics.
