Graduate Assistantship Opportunities

Graduate student training is an important component of the research in the Plant Science Department.  Most research projects include field and laboratory components as part of graduate student training. Graduate students and professionals trained in various areas are listed below.

Assistantships are funded with research grants, through the Department with AES funding, or by the student through outside sources.  Generally MS students complete their programs in 2.5 years and PhD students take 3-4 years, depending on their preparation.

It is a requirement that each graduate student participate in a teaching experience to obtain instructional experience. One semester of teaching is required for a M.S. student and two semesters of teaching are required for a Ph.D. student.
