Melanie Caffe recognized at International Wheat Quality Council
Congratulations to Plant Science Ph.D. student Melanie Caffe for receiving a plaque and cash award for her presentation at the 4th International Wheat Quality Council in Canada June 2-6, 2009. Her presentation was titled “Utilization of the Mixolab for Bread-Making Quality Prediction.” Melanie’s award was officially presented before the Student Division Section at the American Association of Cereal Chemists International Meeting in Baltimore, MD on October 16, 2009. Dr. Ravi Chibbar, University Saskatchewan, and Dr. Jim Dexter, Canadian Grain Commission, jointly presented the award. Melanie’s graduate work is supervised by Dr. Karl Glover, SDSU Spring Wheat Breeder, Department of Plant Science, SDSU. |
