Credit Africa-A comprehensive 3 week travel course, done at the end of spring semester, through the countries of Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso and Ghana. The course is tailored to the disciplines of students who sign up for the course. The course also has a significant cultural and ecotourism component. Examples of the cultural side include a voodoo ceremony, visits with an African royal family, dance troupes, in depth African history experiences and family home stays. Game parks, camel travel and camping in the Sahara desert and a canopy walk would illustrate ecotourism. Depending on the student make up, school and university visits, hospital tours and meetings with economists or wildlife officials are often arranged. Another real advantage of the course is that stopover stays in Europe on the return are easily arranged.
