3. Field Analst is our newest version of Earthscan.exe. This is a beta version of software that SDSU researchers have prepared to clean yield data and create grid files from the software. Since this a beta verision, there may be some bugs in the program. If you enter some problems with the program, please email Cheryl Reese at Cheryl_Reese@sdstate.edu. Please check back for updates to the programs. We are working out the bugs and will be loading new verisions of this program frequently. As seed developers continue to increase the number of biotechnology genetic modifications that are sold as added traits available to compliment a standalone seed variety, we ask the question, how much we are paying for the basic seed genetics and how much are we being asked to pay for each trait? The cost of the base genetics and specific biotech traits can easily be partitioned from the cost/bag into the specific cost per trait per acre using the following spreadsheet.
