Dynamic speaker part of 4-H CHARACTER COUNTS! conference

Carl "Energizer" Olson is set to speak during the South Dakota Character Education Conference on June 23-24 in Sioux Falls.

The South Dakota Cooperative Extension Service's 4-H/Youth Development program will host the event.
Olson will present "Energize Your Character Education Program."
"Energizers are calisthenics for the mind, and in order to have complete learning we must activate the senses," Olson said.
A lifelong educator and advocate for the experiential learning theory, Olson will present activities that enhance learning and inspire action.
Karelyn Farrand, 4-H CHARACTER COUNTS! State Coordinator, said Olson's gift is how entertaining he makes his subject.
"His message is motivational and includes topics related to all ages of youth," Farrand said. "Olson will present the breakout session "Amazing Ways to Amaze."
To register for the conference, contact your county Extension office or call Karelyn Farrand at (605) 626-7120.
