Service Labs & Organizations

The Plant Science department administers several laboratories and organizations that provide a number of analytical, diagnostic and certification services to the South Dakota agricultural community and public, including plant disease diagnosis, seed testing, soil testing, plant mineral & nutrient analysis and seed certification.

The goals for Plant Science service laboratories are to provide producers with unbiased tests, procedures, and services for their agronomic management decisions. These objectives are met by providing tests that are calibrated to be scientifically and statistically valid for the medium being tested.
