Because of your very reduced or no tillage system, 30 lb/a of additional nitrogen has been considered in the above N recommendation.
When nitrogen and /or potassium are recommended: Nitrogen plus K2O applications in contact with the seed should not exceed 10 lbs/a in six or seven inch rows. Nitrogen from urea, DAP (18-46-0), and ammonium thiosulfate (21-0-0-26) should NOT be placed with the seed.
Although the above phosphorus recommendation will seldom increase flax yields, it will help maintain the phosphorus soil test.
