Hard-to-stop yellow toadflax poses problems for producers
Thousands of acres are already infested, and the spread of yellow toadflax in eastern South Dakota may call for control measures.
This invasive weed, often called “butter-and-eggs,” is widespread in northeastern South Dakota, and South Dakota Cooperative Extension Weeds Specialist Mike Moechnig said it has reached points as far south as Madison.

SARE Farmer Rancher grants available
Grants are available to farmers and ranchers to explore innovative management and marketing practices that could increase profitability, increase environmental integrity and improve the quality of life for the farmers’ and ranchers’ families and communities.
