Catnip

Life cycle: Perennial

Leaves: Triangular-shaped leaves with notched edges.

Stems: Square stem as this species is in the mint family. Can have one to numerous stems, covered with soft, white to gray hairs.

Flowers: White flowers with purplish-pink spots.

Roots: Taproot with several branching roots.

Comments: Often found in partially shaded areas on the edges of lawns.

Control

Cultural: Mowing.

Foliar Herbicides: Products that contain 2,4-D and dicamba (Weed-B-Gone Max, Trimec, WeedStop, and others), triclopyr (Turflon), or clopyralid (Confront)
