DIFFUSE KNAPWEED

Life cycle: Local noxious. Biennial or short-lived perennial.

Leaves: Alternate, hairy, narrow, divided. Grayish-green. Basal leaves whorled.

Stems: 1 to 2 feet, rough, erect.

Flowers: White to rose or purplish. Bract tips under the flower have yellow spine with comb-like teeth.

Roots: Long taproot. Rosette first season.

Weed Species: local noxious weed

Comments: Very competitive plant.
