Striations
and grooves aligned in a north-south orientation on the surface of exposed
Sioux quartzite bedrock indicating direction of glacier movement. Some
of the lineations could be compression fractures in the rock. (Location
is 2 miles southeast of Garretson in Minnehaha county).
