| Larger 'hollow' or coulee which serves to drain small watershed between steep moraine deposits. Hollows form protected areas where trees can thrive that would otherwise not survive the tough prairie winters. (Location is "Pleasant Valley", 3 miles south of Gary in Roberts county). |
