Bluff
along the Missouri River reservoir exposing a profile of the shale and
siltstones of the Pierre formation (dark brown-black color under the
grass) overlying the chalk and limestone of the Niobrara formation (tan-brown
color). Location is 3 miles south of Chamberlain in Brule county).
