| Sinkhole formed in the Spearfish formation as a result of the underground solubilization of the anhydrite-gypsum and subsequent collapse of the overburden to form a depression. The location was formerly used by indigenous peoples as a buffalo-kill site. (Location is across the SD border just west of Beulah WY). |
