1. Address nutrient management issues for fertilizer placement and rates in major crops.

2. Investigate how nutrient demands of crops change for various production practices.

3. Assess the contribution of alternative nutrient resources for crops.

4. Evaluate the contribution of crop residues to recycle nutrients in various production practices.
